Extra-long exposure times, such as those used for astronomical photography, have been known to generate some green noise in an image when noise reduction is turned on. This phenomenon will only occur under specific shooting conditions (e.g. a starry night sky), and not in general use. Version 1.01 of the firmware will minimize this noise as much as possible for those who use the *istDS for this purpose.
