Modifications enabled with Ver. 2.0.1:
Support for the D3100, P7000, S80, S5100 and S1100pj has been added. Support for Mac OSX version 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 has been added. ViewNX 2 window layout can now be selected from Browser, GeoTag and Edit views. Nikon Movie Editor has been added for movie editing. Portions at the beginning and end of movies can be removed, and new movies with background music and transition effects can be created by combining existing movies and still images. Nikon Transfer 2 has been added for transferring still images and movies from a camera to the computer. Crop, Straighten and Auto Red-Eye functions have been added. Axial Color Aberration and Auto Lateral Color Aberration functions, which can be turned on and off, have been added. The background for thumbnail displays and the preview window can now be selected from white, grey, dark grey and black. The image background with printing can now be selected from white, grey, dark grey and black. Shooting date and time can now be printed over images. A function for browsing images uploaded to my Picturetown has been added. Images can now be uploaded to my Picturetown using simple drag-and-drop operations. Issues that prevented the correct display of some shooting information in the Metadata palette for pictures taken with a COOLPIX-series camera have been resolved. “Programmed Auto†was displayed as the Scene Mode under Exposure for pictures taken in Backlit scene HDR mode. Nothing was displayed for Color under Optimize Image for pictures taken with the COOLPIX P100 with the camera’s Optimize image option set to Sepia. An issue that prevented the correct display of the camera name (Device) for pictures taken with COOLPIX P100 in the Camera Info portion of the Metadata palette has been resolved. The following items have been added to the Metadata portion of the Edit palette for shooting information display with movies recorded with the D3100. Color Space under Image Settings, Picture Control under Picture Control, Time Zone and Date and DST under File Info 2, Lens under Camera Info, Latitude, Longitude, Altitude, Altitude Reference, Heading, UTC and Map Datum under GPS. Support for RAW images captured with the D3100 with Auto Distortion Control set to On has been added. ViewNX 2 must be exited and restarted in order for changes to the color reproduction process applied in the Picture Control Utility Preferences dialogue box to be reflected in ViewNX 2. Audio sampling frequency with movie export from Nikon Movie Editor has been changed from 44 kHz to 48-kHz. An issue that prevented red-eye correction in the image displayed in the Image View area when the Auto Red-Eye box in the Adjustments portion of the Edit palette was checked has been resolved. The correct acquisition of Address and Wikipedia data in the Search for Keywords from GPS Data dialogue box opened by clicking the Get from GPS Data… button in the Tags portion of the Edit palette was not possible with some internet providers. This issue has been resolved. The Email function for sending images via e-mail directly from the application has been eliminated. The function for transferring (creating) Pictmotion files has been eliminated from Nikon Transfer 2. An issue that caused rough, uneven playback of H.264 movies with ViewNX 2 and Nikon Movie Editor has been resolved.Supported cameras:
